The Observer carried this photograph at the weekend. I saw it at lunchtime today, as I browsed their magazine over a sandwich and came across an article about the final flight of the Space Shuttle Programme. This however, made me look twice. It is the coolest thing that I have ever seen. Bar none.
It’s the Space Shuttle Endeavour blasting off, as seen from the window of an airplane. The pilot of the plane managed to capture it with his iPhone, taken at 36,000 feet. You can read about it here.
